Freedom Fighters – Karamadai Region.
Karamadai has always been a great part of the region’s history. With the spiritual base and the historic significance of the location being the connecting point in the olden days of Krishnadeva Rayar and Thirumalai Naicker of Madurai. There is history that this hamlet housed many armies, and significant kings. The town due to its significance has been key in the development and emergence of many freedom fighters from this region. It is to be noted that there has been a large participation from this region relative to its population.
